Setting Up Your GrumpyHare Site

Analytics, Navigation, and More

Whether you’re building a brand new website or revamping an existing one, a user-friendly navigation menu and insightful analytics are crucial. This guide will equip you with the knowledge to create clear menus that help visitors find what they need, implement analytics to track user behavior and optimize your site for success. Let’s dive in and make your website a navigation and data-driven dream!

Connecting Analytics:

  1. Install SiteKit: If your site does not have SiteKit on it yet, search for “SiteKit by Google” in your GrumpyHare plugins and install it.
  2. Activate & Connect: Activate SiteKit and follow the on-screen prompts to connect it to your Google account.
  3. Setup Google Analytics: Within SiteKit, choose “Set up Google Analytics.”
  4. Follow Instructions: Grant SiteKit permission to access your Google Analytics data and follow any additional steps.

Note:  This is a simplified approach assuming you already have a Google Analytics account. You’ll need your Google Analytics tracking ID for this method.

Changing Your Navigation Menu

  1. Go to Appearance > Menus.
  2. Create a new menu or edit an existing one.
  3. Add your desired pages and links.
  4. Use Elementor’s style options to customize the menu appearance.

Setting Up Your Header and Footer:

  1. Go to Design Library.
  2. Look for sections named Header and Footer.
  3. Select the logo in the header, upload your logo and apply it.
  4. Edit text/colors in the Header section.
  5. Select the Footer and choose widgets (Text, Menu, etc.) to add.
  6. Preview changes.
  7. Publish & Set Rules: Click “Publish” and define where they show (entire site, specific pages).
